Your account. Your control.

POPINGO is designed so streamers can safely connect their communities without giving POPINGO their Twitch login credentials.

Official Twitch authentication

You sign in on Twitch's own website. Twitch handles the login and tells POPINGO only that authorization was granted — POPINGO never receives your Twitch password.

Limited permissions

POPINGO only requests the permissions needed for the game features you enable. Sending messages to your chat is requested separately, and only when you switch on POPINGO Bot.

Secure credentials

Authorization credentials are processed on our servers and stored encrypted. They are not intentionally exposed in browser code, and they are never placed in your browser's storage.

Disconnect anytime

Disconnecting inside POPINGO removes the stored connection and stops POPINGO from reading your chat. You can also revoke access directly from your Twitch connection settings.

Your viewers

Viewers do not need to connect their Twitch accounts to POPINGO simply to answer through Twitch chat.

When viewers participate through Twitch chat, POPINGO may process:

  • Twitch user ID
  • Twitch display name
  • Chat answer
  • Game participation information

This data is used only for:

  • Running the game
  • Scoring
  • Preventing duplicate answers
  • Abuse prevention
  • Features explicitly enabled by the streamer
