This page describes how POPINGO handles information. It is a plain-language summary written by the POPINGO team, not legal advice.

Players

Players who join with a room code provide only a display name. We store that name, their card or answers, and their game results for the duration of the game.

Accounts

Hosts who create an account provide an email address and optional display name. Purchases record which expansion packs an account has unlocked. Payment details are handled by our payment processor — POPINGO never stores card numbers.

Twitch chat participation

When a streamer connects Twitch and viewers answer in chat, POPINGO may process the Twitch user ID, display name, chat answer, and game participation information. It is used to run the game, score answers, prevent duplicate answers, prevent abuse, and power features the streamer enabled. See Security for details.

Your choices

Streamers can disconnect Twitch at any time, which removes the stored connection. To request deletion of an account, contact us at security@playpopingo.com.
